does anyone have this carpet?? Thinking of putting it in our den. Please tell me how you like it/hate it etc...

there are several types of products and yarns that are labeled Greenworks. Its not a name of a specific product. Mohawk makes products from pop bottles and the yarn is PET. Those generally hold up very well. The other major innovative product from mohawk is Smartstrand and there are lots of reviews on here about Smartstrand and Sonora yarn products. They get very good reviews. You need to research a little more.

Boxers is right - Greenworks is the title or brand name Mohawk established for it's recycling and reuse (green) initiative.

A new development is that Mohawk now has recycled content in their EverStrand BCF fibers (see the press release here), so the fibers included in this program would be EverStrand, EverStrand BCF and Dupont Sorona Smartstrand.

But, the Greenworks program also includes our participation in CARE, a comprehensive carpet recycling program that includes all fiber types.

It is not however, a specific carpet style or even a specific fiber type.

thanks for the info...
we are looking at a "shag" type of carpet from them...does anyone know how that type would hold up compared to the regular type of carpet? Also, no matter what type of carpet we do get...we are putting a computer chair in our den with our carpet how does this carpet in general hold up to something like a chair that would be moved around but mostly in the same area.

Do you have a product name? If you will be using a rolling chair, you will need a chair pad. If the chair is without wheels, you will see indentations where the legs are and this is expected no matter what type of carpet you get. I would say that a thick carpet will show this more, but would be easier to brush back up than a short carpet.

in general carpets like frieze's do very well as your walking on the 'sides' of the yarn so traffic patterns are much more difficult to appear than in a standard cut pile carpet. The more twist the better.
