Opinion on color needed

I am finally down to these two samples for our new floor. I will go in the kitchen/dinette... hall and foyer.... half bath off the foyer. We are also considering running it into the mudroom (off dinette) and office (behind a door that is off the kitchen -- currently berber carpet).

The room doors and trim are the medium/honey/golden oak you see in the picture. The NEW kitchen cabinets are a dark brown maple (sample in the picture). The new backsplash and counter are also sampled in the pic. new paint color will be a gray/beige (slightly darker than in the pic).

So, which color floor??? I want to tie in both color woods. My overall goal is a warm and rich and "classy" look. I want it to look like real wood. Although we won't be moving anytime soon, if things change... or if this holds us as I want it to... which would be best for resale?

Sorry that was sideways - I don't know how to fix. Here is another with the two samples in a different lighting (no flash and first had flash).

I like the one on the right - it seems the best balance between the existing doors and the new cabinets color and isn't so "stripey" as the one on the left. To me, in the photo, the one on the left is too similar to the honey of the doors. What is the product, an engineered or laminate?

The texture will have a lot to do with making it look more "real" if it's not real hardwood.

It is actually a Luxury VINYL Plank. The one on the left is Tarkett. The one on the right is Karndean Art Select. These are the most real looking after looking at MANY!

Neither. They both are too matchy matchy with the wood, and in a situation like that, the vinyl will come out the loser. You want something lighter than the cabinets, but darker than the woodwork. Too close and a miss means you're really gonna notice the miss.

I agree with hollysprings. I give people that exact advice quite often. If you get really close but just a little off, to my eye it's a detraction. I prefer something complementary rather than matching. Of course opinions vary....

Of those, I like the one on the right because it does have slightly more contrast.
