Sad that my floor is red

Our old wood floors are being refinished and I
Chose gunstock as the color because the sample I
Saw was a nice brown. I got my first look today and they
Look too red. Do you think the red will tone down
After it dries? They have added a coat of clear already.

Gunstock is a reddish color. Your going to have the red tone for a long time. Until you refinish again. The red may fade but it will be years many years and how much will it fade. Not much.

Samples in pictures or little swatches dont do colors justice. Because the age of the wood can have an influence on the tone of color. Its ALWAYS. Best to do a color choice directly on your hardwood floor. That way theres no guessing games.
