 o
wood stove hearth details

Posted by pyper_sc (My Page) on

My wife wants a stone hearth for our wood stove. I've read the instruction manual and found the requirements regarding non-combustibility, so that's not a problem. Three layers of DuRock backer board will provide sufficient R-Value.

What I want to know is:

A) what is the detail for how the stone comes down and meets the hardwood floor.

B) any ideas on how to detail the hearth to the drywall?
