Basement flooring?

We are finishing a section of the basement to use as my jewelry/glass studio. The floor is below grade concrete it is cold but I would always wear shoes for safety. What would be a good finish for the floor? The rest of the basement is pad and polyester carpet. The room is 11x25. I have not had any moisture issues but a few areas of efflorescence. I would like it to be fire resistant,look good easily cleaned and affordable.

Any suggestions?

This is a work area, right? You mentioned fire resistance, are you working with hot materials that could potentially damage a floor? If so, you might consider just painting the floor. Add anti-fatigue mats at workstations.

The next step up would be commerical vinyl tiles. Cheap and relatively easy to install assuming the floor is flat.

If you are seeing efflorescence, you do have moisture.
