Alex5567 Shaw Flooring Answers for you

I received an email from Alex5567 via GardenWeb about my Shaw Flooring and was unable to email him back via Gardenweb. So...Alex, if you're still searching for answers beyond my post below, please go into preferences for your profile and turn on the "accept email" option.

I will attach the previous post below, but basically my Shaw flooring is a wood laminate product. We have only had it for about 6 weeks, so I cannot answer your questions about durability. It seems fine so far! We did not install it ourselves but hired it out. It is really a beautiful product and we especially like that the boards are a wider plank and the variation in colors in this particular finish. We are using the Bona system for cleaning it (mist cleaner and the damp mop) purchased from Home Depot.

I think people run into problems with laminate when they try to fool themselves it is the "same" as hardwoods. I don't think so, but I do this is a really pretty floor. Also, it is better for my dog!

I got an email from him as well. I did reply and sent pictures of my floor.

Thanks for letting me know. Strange he never came back to the board. Topics don't scroll off the front page so quickly as over on Kitchens.

Thank you very much.
I was out of town (some of my near relations is having health issues), so I was checking only emails.

I will continue working on my project. Slowly, but steady.=)
The post about the Quick Step is only in a draft stage now.
