I will attach the previous post below, but basically my Shaw flooring is a wood laminate product. We have only had it for about 6 weeks, so I cannot answer your questions about durability. It seems fine so far! We did not install it ourselves but hired it out. It is really a beautiful product and we especially like that the boards are a wider plank and the variation in colors in this particular finish. We are using the Bona system for cleaning it (mist cleaner and the damp mop) purchased from Home Depot.

I think people run into problems with laminate when they try to fool themselves it is the "same" as hardwoods. I don't think so, but I do this is a really pretty floor. Also, it is better for my dog!
