Lyptus Flooring

Can anyone give me information about Lyptus wood? I read a review of it and it sounded like a good option for my living room/dining room and den. Said it was hard, environmentaly friendly and cheaper than other wood. Does anyone have it in their home, and if so, how do you like it? Thanks for any info you can give me.

RE: Lyptus Flooring

I've had it for a few years in my kitchen/family room and hallway. I love it and would install it again (Fire stain). When I priced it, it wasn't cheaper than other quality woods, but my contractor was able to get it installed at oak flooring prices. It is hard, but drop a remote control, etc. and it will dent. It does darken down too, but it's really not noticeable until I pull the A/C diffusers on the floor. Email me at jr_lyles at yahoo and I can send pictures.
