carpet/parquet in studio

a substantial part of the parquet floor in a very small studio is damaged, so because of time limits, I've decided to just fix the subfloor and re-install the carpet. However, in other parts the parquet is still in very good shape.

1. Because the place is so small, should everything be carpeted (except kitchen and a small tiled square at the entrance)?

2. Is there a natural transition where I could have the parquet, e.g. entrance and hallway/closets towards bathroom?

3. Parquet in the closets?

At one point, I'll probably go all laminate or hardwood, or maybe figure out how to replace the damaged parquet.
