Patching a hole in ceramic flooring

We have a rustic look ceramic flooring in our kitchen. We moved a baseboard heater and are left with a neat hole in the flooring. Don't have any extra tiles and I don't want to get involved with trying to remove tiles from under the fridge and replace. I'm thinking I could fill the hole and use some stain or paint to match the color. It's not a shiny finish and the tiles are quite mottled. What should I use to fill the hole? Grout, mortar mix, something else?
