Can Brazilian Cherry Floors Be Stained Espresso?

I have a 3 year old condo with a potential buyer who wants the floors to be a darker espresso brown color rather than the current reddish brown color that they are. B/c floors are going to be re-sanded and re-stained anyway, she asked whether they can be stained darker to achieve more of an espresso color. Does anyone know? My concern was that even once we remove the current stain, that the base color of the cherry is probably reddish (unlike oak or other lighter woods) and so it wouldn't be possible to achieve a more chocolate brown color. Any info (especially from anyone who has done this) and tips would be appreciated! And if it can be done, I'd love to know brand and name of stain. Thanks.
