3rd coat of the Bona waterborne poly, right? I'd say yes. My floors only have two coats of finish, and quite honestly the busiest rooms wear down fast.

If they used the hardner that comes with Bonamega then i would say no

If the floor looks good without any issues i dont think you need the 3rd.

Keep the maintenance up in the floor. Place mats in high traffic areas and get a buff n coat in a few years and youre floors will last many years before a refinish is needed

If you have the budget, the 3rd coat is worth having. I have been in this business for over 15 years and have seen many spec homes and sub division homes where the finish is only two coats and wears right off.

I would do it if you can. I had my floors re-done in oil poly and I had 4 coats put down. I originally only planned on 3 but they turned out so beautifuly after looking lousy for so many years that I was a bit paranoid about them holding up. So, I told them to go ahead and do it at an extra cost of 400..
