Looking for higher grade clear Maple flooring

About to spend a lot of money on Mohawk rockford maple flooring for my new build (picked out by my local flooring store). I see several bad reviews posted online; should I be worried? I need to stay in the price range of $5-6 per sq. foot. Is this possible in this price range? Would you suggest any other companies or products?

(I know that the Mohawk reps review this site).

Call the guys at Rare Earth Hardwoods in Traverse City MI. They mill flooring to order and can provide whatever you need from the land of many maple trees. We got nice birdseye maple flooring from them for less than the $/sf that you are quoting, plain should be cheaper. They also made me a killer tiger maple butcher block island top. No affiliation other than being a happy customer.
