Okay we are in the process of choosing what we would like in a house and now we have the choice of 9 ft ceilings for 2,000 on the main level which is the family common areas and another 2,000 for the top level. So i was thinking if 8 ft is common for our builders we should do 9 ft downstairs and 8 ft upstairs but does it really matter? please help my husband believes the average 8 ft ceilings are good on both levels if he is right please let me know.
