Slate Kitchen Floors: Need Help With Selecting Sealer

We recently purchased a home that was built in 1930, and inherited Rustic Gold Natural Slate kitchen floors with it.

The previous owners installed this floor approximately 6 years ago, and sealed it with Minwax waterbased polyeutherane, which we did not realize until after we had the floors unsuccessfully steam cleaned.

In a nutshell, they're very blotchy, look dirty, and do not look good, so we've decided to have them professionally stripped and refinished.

Does any one have any recommendations on the type of sealer that we should use? One flooring professional recommended HMK brand acrylic sealer (S37 - Satin Finish) that is meant for natural store, but I do not see any reviews online for this product. We would like a low gloss, and very durable option.

I know many will recommend we use a penetrating sealer only, but because it is a kitchen, we feel like we need the topical sealer. Any recommendations welcome.

Thank you!
