Handscraped hardwood flooring should not cause any problems with the furniture. It just means the planks were given a lot of character markings by manually scraping the planks before the staining and factory finish was applied.

We have Mannington's Heritage Hickory Plank and love it! We stapled it down over 3/4" plywood.

There are a lot of hardwood flooring manufacturers offering handscraped wood flooring today.

Like gigabit said, they will be flat, or should be as a whole installed floor. Each board will be scrapped to some extent, but all the highs should be level across the floor.

we have handscraped walnut on most of our first floor, we love the look, but we aren't living there yet, I'm hoping it looks as good as it does now a few years from now!

we have wall-to-wall carpetting on the living/dining rooms and my husband is thinking of having this removed since our pets keep having "accidents". he saw that the hardwood underneath is still good, just needs to be cleaned, sandblasted, etc. to make it look like new. can he do it himself or do we need to hire someone to do the job? if he can, are there any procedures to follow? thanks,
