100 years old CVG Douglas Fir refinishing

I am getting ready to refinish these floors. They appear in great shape since they have probably lived, after they were originally stained and coated with who knows what, under vinyl, carpet, and one coat of paint.
I am sanding down the floors and will be using one coat of Bona sealer and 2 coats of Bona Traffic HD on them. I would like others advice if I should choose a color or keep them clear. I like the dark woods but with lab dogs, I understand the lighter color will show less scratches. I have no idea of what the color will turn out to be once they are sanded and finished.
What are your opinions of "stains" or colored sealer for these floors? Any other advice before I proceed?
