Need engineered wood experts' advice

We are removing the tile in our Houston home and are going to use engineered wood glued to the slab. We have struggled to find an oak floor that is not hand scraped but is distressed (we don't like all the waviness). We are wanting to stick with Red oak (perhaps incorrectly) thinking we should stay in the same species as our current stair treads.

We liked the Somerton floors since it is made and manufactured in the US; however, it is not distressed.

In today's hunt, we found a product from LM Flooring called Berkshire (BN2N5FP) whose look we love (matte finish and mildly distressed). However, it is made in China and only has a thin wear layer. Does anyone know of this brand and their quality?

Secondly, does anyone know of other brands and styles that are darker oaks with thicker wear layers and made in the US? Perhaps we are being OCD, but with 2 boys, 2 large dogs, and a 1400sq ft project, we don't want to make the wrong choice! Thanks.
