Carpet pros, what vaccum will I need?

I just purchased Dream Weaver Colossal frieze carpet for my MB.It will be installed next week. Its very plush/dense. I'm thinking that my vacuum, a fairly cheap bissell (that has done a great job) won't be the right one. I have dogs, thus hair. I don't want to ruin my new carpet. Do you have recommendations on the right vacuum to use on this dense, almost shag carpet? What are opinions on Kirby? I'm hearing that they are great for friezes.

You first need to determine what vacuum the manufacturer recommends for the style of carpet you purchased. For some styles of carpet like a frieze or something that approaches a shag look, a beater bar in your vacuum will void the warranty. This will vary by manufacturer, so get with your retailer who should be able to contact Dream Weaver for specifics. Also, Dream Weaver may have this information on their website.

Thanks, Jeff. I will check out the Dreamweaver website. Great idea.
