Scraping up concrete blobs on asbestos tile?

I have some "concrete" like splotches all over my tile floor, from using a waterproofing material you "paint" on the walls, then hardens. It got all over my floor, which I'm going over with laminate hardwood, but now the problem the stuff is hardened. I'm not sure if the tiles are asbestos (house built in 1958). I just need to take a shovel and scrape the concrete-like patches that are on the tile. Would you recommend a mask for this??

1958 is probably asbestos but I doubt you will be taking much of a risk of inhaling asbestos fibers. Wear a good dust mask to be safe and you should be fine.
