Screening or Refinishing Oak Floors

sugarnliza

My oak floors need attention. This house was built in 1937 and I believe the floors are original. There are a couple of places where I removed a floor furnace and weaved the oak in. In the rest of the house, the floors have a natural finish, are scuffed up and in need of some TLC.

Can I screen the whole house and have the 2 places where the new oak was put in look like the old floors or do I need to have them all completely refinished? The house is empty, so it's the time to do it, but screening is definitely less expensive than refinishing.

Any advice is greatly appreciated!! Thanks!
