I need to do 3 rooms in our house, and we have 3 kids and we are rough on our carpet, it does not get maintained that well. We need something durable, and stain resistant, but also inexpensive so that if I need to change it out every 5 - 10 years, it won't feel like a waste.

Any suggestions? I am thinking of a max budget of $2,000 for about 700 square feet installed. Does that sound like it can work?
