Could someone please explain the difference between a high gloss finish (such as Diamond's) and a piano finish on a laminate. I'm assuming that the piano finish is more durable but just how much more?
Here is a link that might be useful: Diamond laminate

High gloss and piano finish are both terms used for a higher luster finish on a laminate floor. Basically mean the same and I would not read durability into those terms at all. Do your research on both products to determine what is best in durability.

Thanks, Floortech, for replying to both of my posts. I also saw Bruce Park Avenue laminate with a "piano" finish and wasn't quite sure of the difference between the Bruce and the Diamond. As you said, both finishes are a high sheen. I guess that durability will be according to the AC rating.
