| Hi,
I installed cork floors from LL that were prefinished. The recommendation from the manufacturer was to apply 2-3 additional coats of poly in high traffic areas. I applied a water based poly from a big box store and coats 1 & 2 looked great. The satin finish gave a very slight shine which looked great in the kitchen. Coat 3 is where things got weird. Part of the floor stayed slightly shiny, and most of the floor got a really flat finish. Thinking I had been skimpy on the flat area, I applied another coat to the flat area only. Now that area has a slight white-ish haze. Not sure what to do now... |

| The more satin urethane you apply the hazier looking the finish is. More is not better. You may need a professional at this point to carefully buff down the finish and apply another coat. |
