I've been researching flooring for a while and have decided that cork will probably wind up in this home sooner or later. We currently have laminate in one area and tile in another where it would be laid. Possibly where there is carpet now as well. I have no idea what kid of slab is hiding beneath the floors, so is there a way to tell if the glue down or lock in systems will be best? The current laminate with the lock in system is coming away from the baseboards and is actually cracking in some areas. I'm not sure if this is due to a poor install, the fact that we live where earthquakes happen or both. Any insight would be appreciated.
