| We are nearing the end of our remodel and addition and are looking at carpet. At this point we are being quite budget conscious. We have found a Tigressa (Shaw product)nylon frieze usually $2.99 on sale for $1.49 plus $1.40 for installation and 8# water resistant pad. Our home is a ranch and I am concerned about the high traffic areas. Do you think this is the best route to take for carpet in the entire house? I realize that this carpet won't last forever, but we are hoping to get something inexpensive that will hold up for at least 7 years. I guess my fear is buying something too cheap and then getting junk.... Any advice is GREATLY appreciated. |

| Do you wear shoes in the house? That will cause much faster wear. My parents (9 kids and a dog) built a new house once upon a time, banned shoes in the house, and 13 years later, when they sold, it still looked good as new. |
