Opinions on siberian larch?

I love the look of heartwood pine, but it's too costly for us. This stuff seems similar in look -- has anyone used it for flooring and have an opinion? Also, it is rated 1100 on the Janka scale. I'm assuming this isn't a problem, but are there any reasons to worry about this on a floor with normal residential usage? Thanks.
