First washing of the new wood floor??

I was told to wash the new floor with "Eukula Refresher" as soon as the home construction is complete.

Can you please suggest what mop/scrubber(??) type tool would be ideal for this task? I know there are a number of shoe scuff marks to get up, as well there is about 1600 sq' of floor including stairs, so an efficient tool would be ideal!

Wood floors are brand new to me. Thanks.

Not many people have a 'wax' floor these days so this question doesn't come up that often. I'm assuming you hand sand onsite flooring installed with a specific wax finish? Unless you know or if you know your floors were factory finished then you don't want to use any wax product on them especially if they have a urethane finish.

Its always recommended to use a microfiber type 'dust' mop. You never want to get wood floor too wet so you spray the floor if needed with the cleaner and go over it with the microfiber 'mop'. You can find them many places.

Yes, the flooring is factory finished with two coats of wax.

I will look into microfibre mops! Thanks!

And I got it wrong, the Refresher IS the wax. I am not waxing here. I am cleaning only.

I worked for Bruce Hardwood who also had some 'wax' floors. Its very rare to find these days so you may get wrong advice. Look at Armstrongs floor info as they used to have instructions on 'waxing' floors on their website. You just want to be careful on anything you use as a cleaner as most are designed for urethane finishes vs wax. Using what floor store reommends is alwasys the best.
