I just put Waterlox on a 12 x 12 room with character grade hickory. The sap wood of the hickory has a yellow tone to it. Will this fade with time. Just put on 3 coats of sealer finish and 1 coat of Satin finish. Has anyone else have this situation?

Waterlox will amber even more over time and the hickory will also turn a bit more yellow due to sunlight oxidizing the wood.

thanks for the info. Not that I dont like it, It does give it a warm glow to it. Just surprised I guess to see the white turn more amber. But never the less I like it. I have seen the clear poly on hickory and dont really care for it. I refinish furniture not floors. So for the first time using waterlox, it was great.
