Just normal felt pads will work. Or ones that have like a carpet backing.
The button style if im thinking the same is a hard plastic and thats not good for wood.

They sell them in a wide variety of sizes and some that you can cut to size for unique furniture that doesnt have a standard leg or post.

That said, and don't forget to first remove the metal glides that most furniture manufacturers attach to the bottom of furniture pieces. Remove any staples you find too.

We bought felt blankets like these, but dark brown and cut them into pieces as the furniture arrived. The deliverymen were very accommodating, waiting with each piece as we cut and attached the pieces. They also removed the buttons on the bottom without even being asked to do so -- it's standard with any furniture delivered on a hardwood floor.

That may be standard practice for your furniture company, but it may not be for many others. Consumers must be make sure new furniture bottoms are free of objects and materials which might damage flooring.
