| Which flooring is more durable and easy to take care of on a slab foundation? It also needs to be dog proof - I have two big dogs. |

| Not the stylish thing now, but I had vinyl sheet flooring in my kitchen - 29 years old, and still pretty decent. It was a goldish color, so it did not show dirt (as in, oops, has it really been 2 months since I mopped?)and the dogs could not hurt it. We even had the house flood with no ill effects. Replaced it with a travertine like tile and it is holding up quite well too. Those are probably the two easiest care, most durable. Be sure you seal your grout and use a medium colored grout too. |
