cupping, should I worry?

My 2 1/2" red oak floors were installed about 18 months ago. We've noticed that when we leave the windows open during nice days this summer, there is some minor cupping. It takes getting on the floor and rubbing your hands over the boards to really notice it and even then it's very subtle. The relative humidity in the house can be 70% with the windows open. If we close the windows and turn the on AC, the relative humidity drops quickly and the cupping resolves.

My question: Is this cupping something I need to worry about? (Will it reduce the life of my floors or lead to cracking or more severe buckling?)

I know hardwood floors move with variation in temperature and humidity, and I'd prefer not to run my AC when it's nice out. But, I also don't want to ruin my nice floors.

Thanks for any thoughts.
