Finishing old pine floor with tung oil or danish oil?

I've gotten the floor sanded and am trying to decide on a finish method. I was going to go with polyurethane but read somewhere about using tung oil; that sounded like it was a great finish for floors -- long history of use, easy maintenance and repair, looked good, and easy to apply.

But then, I found other sites that said that tung oil was decidedly not a good finish for flooring and not only that, when looking at various manufacturer's sites for their tung oil wood finish products, many state that it is NOT for use on floors (although these are not pure tung oil, they are products that are combined with a varnish -- like the 'Danish oil' that I found at Lowes). Is there such a difference in using pure tung oil vs. a combined product?

What is your experience and opinion? Would using tung oil be a smart move or foolish?
