I have a huge open living room (shaped like an L: 40' on the long sides, 24' on the short sides, with 10' ceilings on one side and 28' on the other) and am looking to redo the floor. (It's currently acid stained concrete which we love, but the upkeep is too much with the scratches). Obviously, standard size slabs would look really busy.(12" x 12" and 24" x 24" would look pretty bad in this huge of a room.)

I've been reading about these giant porcelain slabs (3m x 1m, 3/8" thick) called "Kerlite Plus." They came out on 2008. Does anyone have any info or experience with this product?

Do you have any other suggestions for low-maintenance flooring in really big slabs? We want something nice (no suggestions of carpet or vinyl please -grin-). Thanks!
