Carpet transition

I have a rent house and the carpet looks ok other than this spot... Is there a way I can fix it without paying an arm and a leg? I'd like to fix it myself.... I went to Home Depot and thought there would be a transition strip I could buy but they only one I saw was held down with nails... the and the house is on a slab.
PLEASE HELP! :-) Thanks!!!
