 o
Baseboards - white or wall color?

Hi - we are in the process of having dark Mocha laminate flooring put in our living/dining room areas. We currently have two walls of this area a brownish/brick color and two walls a sand color. The baseboards are painted the same color as the walls. We will be installing new baseboards b/c the current ones are old and small (no detail) and we're looking for opinions on painting them the same as they are now (the wall colors) or painting them white for a more contemporary feel. Will white be too much of a contrast with dark floors and dark walls? Thanks for any and all help!

I would paint them white. I don't think that's contemporary. Just traditional.
