What is the best hardwood sealer/topcoat?

I have Brazilian Cherry and Tigerwood hardwood floors in my house. When I put the floors down 5 years ago, I sealed them with WaterLox. It has been awful from the beginning. Anything pulled across the floors leave marks. All my chairs and furniture have felt pads under the legs. If you move an empty dining room chair, it leaves a mark. The felt pads leave marks on the floor. The shine is gone.

I want to sand and refinish the floors with something that will not mark so easily but I don't like the plastic, fake look of Polyurethane.

Is there something else I can use?

Rubio monocoat. Or any hardwax oil.
Its an option but its a lot more upkeep than tradition urethanes.

What type of upkeep? It's just 2 of us and no animals in the house.
