I usually tell customers the day after they can move lighter things back onto the floor. Heavy objects should wait two weeks. Rugs or mats need to wait two weeks min.

Never ever slide drag or push ANYTHING across the floor. Always carry and set into place.

Feet guards should generally be felt or something similar in softness. Just because you have it applied to the legs of a table does NOT mean you can slide it on the floor.

Im personally not a fan of any backing for mats or rugs ive seen them do damage. I know people use them (i dont on my floors) with success but im not the person to ask about which type.
