Slate Like Flooring

Is there any vinyl like or composite flooring that is slate looking?? I am down to making a final decision for our kitchen flooring - countertops are blue pearl granite so I am trying to find flooring that won't take away from the countertops. Husband does not want ceramic or real slate flooring. Thanks for any help.

If Amtico is still in business, they might make what you're looking for. Kentile (long defunct) made an excellent vinyl tile that was very realistic-looking.

Also, look at Burke/Mercer and Estrie. Both manufacture lines they describe as 'slate'...although the colorways might not be natural slate-looking.

Estrie has exactly what I am looking for but it appears to be for businesses only. Thanks for your input.

Estrie can be purchased through any full line flooring dealer.

Thanks - I will check with my flooring store.
