| Wood and thinset don't generally "play well" together. 1/4" Durock attached would be best. You might put some PL Premium up on the wood and use some short screws to attach it. Possible to sand down the surface and apply a primer like Zinser, but I prefer Durock. You'll want to use a modified thinset. HD has a lightly modified....Versabond which should work. If you opt for the primer, I would use Mapai's "Ultraflex II." |
