Should I NOT put underlayment beneath laminate with foam backing?

We bought the Costco-Harmonics laminate flooring. It's 5/16" thick plus 1/16" underlayment pad. We have wood subfloor above a crawl space. I'd like to put down a layer of cork underlayment (1/8" thick) to add cushion and some warmth under feet, but I read somewhere that you CANNOT use underlayment under laminate with backing (source). Can the flooring gurus on GW please confirm?

It will void every warranty imaginable. Tear off your attached if you want cork..which is the best so you know!

Cork does not move much vertically when compressed, so you won't get much 'cushion' with it. Consequently, I think that the CLIC joint won't be adversely affected. However, it probably will void any warranty you may get with the product. So, if you believe that the warranty has any value to you, then forgo the added underlayment.
