sheetrock guys did not cover up oak floor first.

We got home to find our oak floor covered in sheetrock mud. We called him and reminded him that he was supposed to cover the oak floor first. We cleaned it up ourselves. The next day he was there again. He did not cover the floor again.

He did try to clean the drywall mud up, but he used a wet towel and rubbed all the mud into the seams of the floor. We decided not to use him for the rest of the mudding and texturing.

He has to be the worst sheetrock guy in the world. He cut electrical and speaker wires with a router and cut oversize holes for recessed lights and all recaps and switches. We can see every seam on the walls and ceiling. It is really bad.

So now what do we do with the floor? I have mopped it many times with wood soap. I can't get the shine back. It wasn't perfect, but we were not going to refinish it for a few more years. He put some gouges and scratches with ladder too. He also destroyed our marble floor that we were keeping. We have now replaced it.
