| I am re-tiling my Bathroom and we have removed the old vinyl floor, but allot of the paper bottom of the vinyl has stuck to the floor. Do I need to scrape and remove all of it? Or can I get buy with scraping all the lose stuff of? And what is the best way to get this done.
I am installing self stick tile. Thanks. Ted409 |

| Try using a heat gun or blow dryer to loosen the paper ..In time (depending how thick the new tiles are) the rough floor underneath will show through.. |

| Dampen the floor with a sponge or sprayer. Warm/hot water works best. After a half hour or so, use a 4" wallpaper scraper to get up the old paper. |

| This paper you are talking about may be a mineral fiber (asbestos) backing, if the floor is old enough. Whether or not you decide to remove this stuff yourself is your decision to make. |
