Is Your SmartStrand Carpet Wearing Well?

I've read some complaints on the internet about Mohawk SmartStrand not wearing well. Starting to look ratty, fuzzy, worn down, and such after short periods of time. I haven't seen many complaints about it staining.

For anyone who has SmartStrand, is it wearing well? No bald spots or very noticeable traffic patterns, or prematurely crushing down?

I'm trying to decide between SmartStrand and Stainmaster for 2 bedrooms. I have 2 dogs. Both carpets seem excellent, but the SmartStrand appeals to me for its exceptional stain resistance.

The complaints may be unusual circumstances, extra high traffic (one was for Section 8 apt housing), but some seemed like they come from normal situations.

Do you have Smartstrand, how long, and is it looking okay as far as crushing, traffic patterns, a soily look, fuzzy?

No one has had Mohawk SmartStrand for a few years? Hmmm. That's not a good sign, I guess.
