stained concrete floor in new house

We have just had a new home built. The floors are stained and scored. The floors were stained, waxed and buffed. My question is....Is it normal for the stain to wear off for a period of time? Any time I wipe something off the floor stain in on the cloth/towel and the bottom of our socks are stained with floor stain. If this is not normal, what is the remedy?

Did they use an acid stain? There were complaints online a while ago about one installer that was actually using wood dyes and stains on concrete instead of acid stains.

My other question would be the wax. Are you getting tinted wax transferred on your wiping cloths and sox or is it the actual stain?

A solution would be to remove the wax and seal the floor. Then if need be, wax could be reapplied as an additional coating. But to chose an appropriate sealer, you'd want to know what type of stain was applied to the concrete.
