Our house has original hardwood floors that were refinished by a previous owner. How do i determine if the finish is polyurethane or tung oil (or something else)?

I ask because i need to refinish only a section of floor and i heard this is easy with tung oil, but impossible with poly.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated!
