Installing engineered flooring under kitchen cabinets?

I have been given as many answers to this as the people I ask...:).

I am in the process of doing a kitchen remodel and have purchased engineered flooring (floating) for the kitchen and dining room. My cabinets will be ready to install in about 4 weeks.

I have asked if the flooring should be installed prior to the cabinets and also if it should be run under the area where the cabinets will sit. One installer stated that yes, the flooring can be run under the cabinets and that expansion of the flooring really isn't a concern. He stated that when heavy furniture is installed over floating floor, it doesn't make any difference to the expansion of the floor, why should cabinets be any different. He also stated that one of the main reasons to not install under cabinets is the cost of flooring material that will basically be unseen. I can follow the logic to his statement. YET....so many installation instructions state to not install under cabinets. I figured once the room was cleared out, it would be easy just to install the flooring wall to wall.

What do you think?
