Hi there,

I am building and have selected 5' Handscraped Natural Light Hickory Floors, open concept, my kitchen/bathroom cabinets are a warm medium brown Maple (for contrast). I have a warm brown tile in the bathrooms. What color should I stain my oak trim and doors? Should I match to the cabinets? Or should I leave natural (light) to match the flooring....the floors in the entryway and bathrooms are that warm brown tiling...please help! I need to make a decision today..

Thank you!!!

Our 1st home we had all oak doors and trim. We sealed them and left them natural. I never had a visitor who didn't comment on how stunning the wood was. Natural or not depends on how you feel about the wood itself (grain, color, grade of the wood, etc.) and the look you are going for.
