Is it possible to change out the grout only?

Posted by sippimom (My Page) on

Our kitchen tile is about 15 years old but in beautiful condition. The grout is the only thing that needs to be either changed or re-colored. It's been cleaned and cleaned over the years but still looks dated.

So for the tile folks out there, can just the grout be changed or freshened?

TIA

You can remove grout with enough time and labor.

If done very carefully you may not even damage the tile.

If the grout is in good shape, it can be stained to look brand new! Go to an independent flooring store and ask them for a quality chart of grout stains. Or yes, the grout can be redone!

Okay - great to know! Thank you both for the information. Summer project looms :)
