I am doing a MAJOR renovation of my 85 year old house, and I want to SILENCE noise transmission between the floors. I am about to install 1/2" engineered wood floors in the second story (over a wooden subfloor), and I want to know which underlayment will KILL footstep noise? For the last week, I've been going crazy searching the Internet (GardenWeb too) for the best underlayment to kill footsteps, and everything is just so inconclusive. Any recommendations? |
