Ugh,

So not only did I have to hire a second company to fix the peeled-carrot orange finish the floor refinishers put on my original red oak floors,now the new refinisher pointed out to me that the first company got a brown-tinted oil finish, (that they slapped on over the bright orange to no avail),on every one of my Batchelder tiles where the hearth meets the floor.

The 1st floor refinisher won't come to our house, not once since we hired "him", and quite frankly I think he would only make it worse. Does anyone have any experience getting an oil based floor finish safely off of handmade tiles?
